Tasha’s path to marketing wasn’t traditional. She began her career in healthcare with plans to work in maternal health. But somewhere along the way, she discovered that her true calling was in creativity and entrepreneurship. That realization led her to found Naturally Smitten; a haircare brand created specifically for textured hair. Bootstrapping its growth from concept to national retail partnerships with Walmart, Sally Beauty, and Ross Stores taught her firsthand how to create demand, build loyalty, and move products in real markets.
After launching multiple businesses, Tasha brought her founder’s experience into the corporate space, where she led digital campaigns for lifestyle brands, real estate, and brick-and-mortar retailers. She also developed a particular knack for creating culturally resonant content connecting brands with their target audiences. Throughout her career, she also pursued another passion: teaching art to children. She traveled to Mexico on mission trips, transforming a summer school curriculum into hands-on art lessons that helped school-aged children discover their creative gifts.
Tasha is a cultural strategist who understands how to help brands resonate with their target audience. Her work spans brand strategy, social media, influencer marketing, and campaign development, with a unique strength in defining brand voice and shaping how organizations show up. She brings both intuition and execution in spotting emerging trends, understanding what resonates culturally and aesthetically, and translating big ideas into campaigns.
At the core of Tasha’s work is purpose. Tasha believes creativity lives in everyone; it just looks different on each person, and she’s dedicated to helping others reach their full creative potential. Having taught art to kids internationally and one-on-one, she’s seen firsthand how creativity transforms lives and, how a child who discovers they can make something beautiful begins to see themselves differently.
Outside of work, Tasha is a multidisciplinary artist. Her work is full of storytelling and symbolism, often drawing inspiration from nature, faith, and the human experience. You’ll often find her working on her next creative project, creating with little artists, or simply enjoying the process of making things beautiful. She still believes everyone has an inner artist waiting to be discovered, and she’s always happy to help people find theirs.
Tasha earned her associate degree in Occupational Studies in 2001. As a self-taught artist with a passion for entrepreneurship, she continues to develop her skills across disciplines, bringing fresh perspectives and creative approaches to everything she touches.
